How AOP technology works
Ozone + UV-C + OH radicals
The special lamp generates radiation of 254 nm and 185 nm. The 185 nm radiation converts the available oxygen into ozone.
Ozone is mixed with the water through the Venturi and, inside the UV-C chamber, participates in the formation of OH radicals.
This process is known as Advanced Oxidation Process (AOP).
Reduced dependence on chlorine
AOP helps oxidize organic contaminants while UV-C radiation simultaneously performs its function for disinfection.
The manufacturer indicates that the system allows maintaining the pool's chlorine level to a minimum and helps reduce chloramines.
