Description
Description
The FTK-118 hardness test is a field test kit designed to analyze total water hardness using the drop test method.
Its scale is: 1 drop = 10 ppm CaCO3
The reagents supplied in the test kit allow approximately 72 measurements.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Clean and fill the cuvette up to the 15 ml mark to perform the analysis.
- Add 5 drops of reagent TH-11 and shake to mix. The sample will turn pink if total hardness is present.
- Add reagent TH-12 drop by drop (count the number of drops added). Shake after adding each drop until the color changes from pink to blue.
- Each drop added is equivalent to 1 ºfH. Multiply the number of drops by 10. The resulting number gives the total hardness expressed in ppm.
