Description

The heat pump is a highly efficient and economical heating system designed to heat pool water.

This device uses outside air as an energy source, transforming it into heat through a thermodynamic cycle.

The heat pump operates through a thermodynamic cycle involving the transfer of heat from an external source (in this case, the ambient air) to the pool water.

The process takes place in several steps:

  1. Evaporation: The heat pump contains a refrigerant that, at low pressure, absorbs heat from the outside air. This refrigerant, in liquid form, evaporates as it absorbs heat, becoming vapor.

  2. Compression: The refrigerant vapor is drawn into a compressor, where it is compressed. This increase in pressure raises the vapor's temperature, transforming it into a high-pressure hot gas.

  3. Condensation: The hot gas is directed to a heat exchanger, where it transfers its heat to the pool water. As it loses heat, the refrigerant condenses again, returning to its liquid state.

  4. Expansion: The liquid refrigerant passes through an expansion valve, where its pressure is reduced. This process causes the refrigerant to cool and re-enter the evaporator, restarting the cycle.

Through this continuous cycle, the heat pump can extract heat from the outside air, even in cold conditions, and transfer it to the pool water, providing an efficient and sustainable heating solution.

For optimal performance, it is essential that it be connected to a bypass kit, allowing water to circulate around the pump.

Like other heating systems, heat pumps are installed after the filtration system, ensuring adequate water flow.

The GRE HPGIC heat pump series consists of four models, each equipped with a protective cover for winter, ensuring its integrity during periods of inactivity.
