Alka Plus – Alkalinity increaser for swimming pools (Ref. 203330)
Alka Plus by Quimicamp is a powdered product formulated with sodium bicarbonate, designed to increase the total alkalinity of the water and stabilize its pH. Proper alkalinity improves chemical balance, prevents uncontrolled pH variations and reduces corrosion of pool materials.
According to the latest studies, alkalinity levels should be maintained between 125 and 150 ppm. Outside this range, pH fluctuations, excessive chlorine consumption, cloudy water or eye irritation may occur. Alka Plus helps keep the water crystal clear, with stable pH and more efficient disinfectant action.
WATER CHARACTERISTICS ACCORDING TO ALKALINITY LEVELS
Low alkalinity
(below 100 ppm)- Low pH levels.
- Uncontrolled pH fluctuations.

Ideal alkalinity
(between 100 and 150 ppm)- Easy-to-control pH.

High alkalinity
(above 150 ppm)- High pH levels.
- Difficulty adjusting the pH.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE
With the filtration system running, dissolve the required amount of product in a bucket containing 10 litres of water and add it evenly over the pool surface. Do not apply to the skimmers.
Recommended dosage: to increase total alkalinity by 10 ppm, add 1 kg of Alka Plus per 50 m³ of water.
Maintain total alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm and the pH between 7.2 and 7.6 for optimum chemical balance.
