Description

Redox electrode for Exactus dosing pumps, Redox model, from the prestigious Astralpool brand (also known as a sensor or probe); it measures and transmits the water's Redox value to the dosing pump.

It is important to mention that for a correct reading, it is very important to prevent air from entering and to place the measuring electrode first in the flow line, followed by the product injection connection.

This kit includes the following:

  1. Redox measuring electrode.
  2. Buffer solutions required for correct calibration.
  3. Collar.
  4. Level probe.
  5. Electrode holder.

Manual

Electrode preparation

Carefully remove the watering cap. Wash the electrode with water.

Redox: Clean metal areas with abrasive materials, e.g. toothpaste or very fine scouring sand.

Electrode storage

The electrodes should be stored in the watering cap, which contains a 3M KCl solution or storage solution. Electrodes stored dry temporarily show unstable values. If the electrode has accidentally dried out, it can be regenerated by immersing it overnight in a storage solution.

Cleaning

Glass-body electrodes can generally be cleaned briefly with acids or bases and with common solvents. Then rinse with water. After this, the electrodes will probably show a slow response for some time; immerse the electrode in a storage solution for 15 mins after cleaning.

Regeneration

pH: Immerse the electrode for 10 min in 0.1 - 1.0 M NaOH, then for 10 minutes in 0.1 - 1.0 M HCl. After regeneration, immerse it in a storage solution for 15 mins.

Disposal

These sensors have been designed to minimize their environmental impact. In accordance with European Directive EU 2002/96/EC, the sensors must be disposed of as waste electrical and electronic equipment, and not as household waste; alternatively, they may be returned to the supplier for disposal.

General points

The service life of the electrodes depends heavily on the customer's requirements for response, zero point, and slope. Measurement conditions, especially high temperatures and aggressive samples, may reduce the service life. Under
under favorable conditions, you can expect the electrodes to last 1 to 3 years at room temperature, and 1 to 3 months at 90°C. Slow aging also occurs during storage.
