AstralPool Hydrospin Compact hydrocyclonic prefilter

The new AstralPool Hydrospin Compact hydrocyclonic prefilter is designed to save water when washing filters, thereby extending the maintenance interval for the filters (filter media washing) and saving up to 50% of the water used to wash the filter.

The Hydrospin Compact prefilter can separate solids down to 60 microns thanks to its multiple built-in hydrocyclones, thereby halving the water consumption during filtration system washing.

The solids separated at the bottom are expelled by opening the purge valve. Open it before the dirt exceeds the indicated limit.

You will not need to stop the pump to clean the filter.

You will have no problems installing the prefilter in a new or existing system.

We recommend installing the Hydrospin Compact prefilter in a filtration system with a flow rate of 3 to 16.5 m³/h and a maximum pressure of 2.5 bar.

The new AstralPool Hydrospin Compact prefilter offers several advantages over other prefilters.

Installation

When installing the AstralPool Hydrospin Compact prefilter, install it between the pump and the filter.

First, make sure that there is a drain in the room where the HydroSpin is located, and ensure that the surface on which the prefilter is installed is level.

There must be enough space around the Prefilter to carry out the necessary inspections and maintenance throughout its service life.

• Wall installation.

1. First, mark the three holes on the support wall.
2. Drill the three Ø 8 mm holes.
3. Screw the support to the wall.
4. Attach the Hydrospin Compact Prefilter to the wall support.
5. Glue the connectors or three-piece fittings for Ø 50 pipe at both the inlet and outlet of the Hydrospin prefilter.
6. We recommend installing valves at both the inlet and outlet of the prefilter.
7. Thread the purge valve onto the bottom of the Hydrospin Prefilter. Apply Teflon tape to the thread, then check that it is properly closed.
8. Connect a pipe from the purge outlet of the Hydrospin Prefilter to the drain.
9. We recommend installing a pressure gauge at the inlet of the Hydrospin Prefilter.
10. Start the pump.
    
    

• Floor installation.

1. Mark the three holes on the support floor.
2. Drill the three Ø 8 mm holes.
3. Continue from point 3 of the previous device.
4. At the purge outlet, you can connect a solenoid valve to schedule filter cleanings.
