Description

Aquachek Salt test strips are an essential complement for customers who have salt chlorination systems.

In just a short time AquaChek Salt white strips measure salt (sodium chloride) levels. They have a measuring range of 400 to 7000 ppm.

With the appropriate salt levels, you can be sure that your salt chlorinator will produce the correct amount of chlorine to keep the water clean and free of contaminants.

To determine the salt level in the water, simply place the strip in a water sample and wait approximately 10 minutes. Then simply compare it with the chart printed on the container.

The container contains 10 test strips.

This product was previously sold under reference 561140A.

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:

  • Take a strip out of the container and observe that its central line is a uniform brown color.
  • Dip the lower part of the test strip into a container of water, no more than 3 cm.
  • Wait approximately 10 minutes.
  • Remove the test strip from the water and observe that its color will have changed to a lighter shade.
  • Locate on the test strip the highest point reached by the color change.
  • This level will indicate a number; keep in mind that each line represents 0.2 (6.6 in the example).
  • Look for that number in the table found on the strip container.
  • That number will be paired with the amount of salt in your pool, expressed in mg/l.

In the example on the left, we have a maximum white point of 6.6, which, when looked up in the table, indicates
that we have a salt concentration in the water of 3450 mg/l (3.45 g/l).
