Kit for replacing two electrodes in Sugar Valley ionization systems.
These electrodes are made from a copper and silver alloy.
Ionization systems allow for considerable savings on pool chemicals.
Their operation is very simple: an electric current is passed through the electrodes, causing Cu (copper) and Ag (silver) ions to be released. These become positively charged in the pool water, allowing them to bind to negative sites on the cell walls of bacteria and viruses, denaturing their proteins and therefore eliminating them.
When replacing your electrodes, it is very important to check the condition of the retaining nuts, as they can be affected by wear just like the electrodes. Replace them if necessary.
