The UV-C and ozone system for BLUE LAGOON Xpert AOP Compact pools uses advanced oxidation (AOP) technology that combines ultraviolet radiation, ozone and hydroxyl radicals to disinfect pool water, eliminate microorganisms and reduce chlorine use.
Thanks to the combination of UV-C, ozone and AOP process, this system eliminates organic contaminants such as sun creams, cosmetics, sweat or urine, reducing the formation of chloramines and helping to keep the water cleaner, transparent and healthier.
UV-C disinfection systems for swimming pools improve water quality and reduce the use of chemicals, as they destroy bacteria and microorganisms while oxidizing organic contaminants present in the water.
Water is pumped to the unit through the included reactor. Due to the pressure of the water in the reactor, air is drawn in through the venturi valve. This air is led into the equipment through the space located between the quartz tube and the special UV-C lamp.
The UV-C lamp generates 254 nm and 185 nm radiation that produces ozone, which mixes with water to carry out oxidation and disinfection. Subsequently, the residual ozone is transformed into hydroxyl radicals within the AOP process, increasing the pollutant removal capacity.
The equipment casing is made of duplex stainless steel, suitable for pools treated with chlorine or saline electrolysis, also providing up to 35% more UV-C radiation performance thanks to the internal reflection of the reactor.
It is recommended to maintain a small level of residual chlorine in the pool to ensure continuous disinfection while the filtration system completely recirculates the water.
