Top valves are installed at the top of filters designed for this configuration. Side valves are connected laterally using the system specified by the manufacturer.

They are not settings that can be freely interchanged: you must use the type of valve compatible with the filter design.

A handle that offers abnormal resistance may indicate a problem with the internal mechanism, seals, shaft, or other components, depending on the model.

It is not advisable to force it, as this could damage the handle or the valve assembly.

Turn off the pump, release the system pressure according to the equipment instructions, and inspect the valve before continuing to use it.

Many models have spare parts for selector valves, such as seals, handles, covers, screws, and other components.

The possibility of repair will depend on the fault and the spare parts available for the specific reference.

Before buying a complete valve, identify the model and check whether the damaged component is sold separately.

Look for the brand and reference of the valve or filter. If you have the manufacturer's exploded parts diagram, use the exact reference assigned to the component.

Do not choose a seal, cover, or handle solely based on its appearance or approximate dimensions.

Even within the same brand, there may be different generations and versions of valves with different parts.

It depends on the filter model. Some are supplied with a selector valve included, while for others it may be sold separately or more than one configuration may be available.
