Description
Description
pH electrode for Exactus pH model dosing pumps from the prestigious Astralpool brand (also known as a sensor or probe); measures and transmits the pH value of the water to the dosing pump.
It is important to mention that for a correct reading, it is very important to avoid the entry of air and place the measuring electrode in the flow line first and then the product injection connection.
This kit includes the following:
- pH measuring electrode.
- Buffer solutions so necessary for correct calibration.
- Collar.
- Level probe.
- Electrode holder.
manual
Electrode Preparation
Carefully remove the water cap. Wash the electrode with water.
pH: Check if there are air bubbles inside the glass membrane. Remove any bubbles by shaking the electrode gently vertically.
Electrode Storage
The electrodes should be stored in the watering cap, which contains a 3M KCl solution or storage solution. Electrodes stored dry indicate temporarily unstable values. If the electrode has dried out by mistake, it can be regenerated by submerging it overnight in a storage solution.
Cleaning
Electrodes with a glass body can generally be cleaned with acids or bases (briefly) and with the usual solvents. Then rinse with water. Once this is done, the electrodes probably indicate a slow response for a certain time; Immerse the electrode in a storage solution for 15 min after cleaning.
Regeneration
pH: Immerse the electrode for 10 min in 0.1 - 1.0 M NaOH, then for 10 min in 0.1 - 1.0 M HCl. After regeneration, immerse it in storage solution for 15 mins.
Elimination
These sensors have been designed to minimize their environmental impact. In accordance with the European directive EU 2002/96/EC, sensors must be disposed of as waste electrical and electronic equipment, and not as household waste, or they can also be returned to the supplier for disposal.
General points
Electrode life depends strongly on customer requirements for response, zero point and slope. Measurement conditions especially high temperatures and aggressive samples can reduce the lifetime. Low
Under favorable conditions, you can expect the electrodes to last 1 to 3 years at room temperature, and 1 to 3 months at 90°C. Slow aging also occurs during storage.
