The skimmer is a fundamental part of your pool's water maintenance system. This is where the water is sucked and will then pass through the pump and filter where cleaning is carried out, returning it free of impurities through the delivery nozzle.
When the pump starts to work, the suction force causes the gate to tilt into the skimmer and thus allows all the dirt floating in the water (leaves, flowers, insects, dust, etc.) to enter and thus begin the filtering process. When the pump stops suction, the gate closes, preventing dirt from returning to the water.
