Description
The FTK-118 hardness test is a field test kit, indicated for analyzing the total hardness of water using the Drop test method.
Its scale is: 1 drop = 10 ppm CaCO3
With the reagents supplied in the test you can perform approximately 72 measurements.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Clean and fill the cuvette to the 15 ml mark. to perform the analysis.
- Add 5 drops of TH-11 reagent, shake to mix. The sample will turn pink if there is full hardness.
- Add the TH-12 reagent drop by drop (count the number of drops you add). Shake after adding each drop until the color turns from pink to blue.
- Each drop you added is equivalent to 1ºfH. Multiply the number of drops by 10. The resulting number will give you the total hardness expressed in ppm.
