AstralPool Hydrospin Compact hydrocyclonic prefilter

The new Hydrospin Compact hydrocyclonic prefilter from AstralPool is designed to save water from washing the filters, thus lengthening their maintenance period (washing the filter medium), allowing savings of up to 50% in water from washing the filter.

The Hydrospin Compact prefilter has the capacity to separate solids of up to 60 microns thanks to its multiple built-in hydrocyclones so that water consumption is reduced by half when washing the filtration system.

The solids separated in its lower part are expelled by opening the purge valve. You should open it before the dirt exceeds the indicated limit.

You will not have to stop the pump to clean the filter.

You will have no problem installing the pre-filter on a new or existing installation.

We recommend installing the Hydrospin Compact pre-filter in a filtration system with 3 to 16.5 m³/h and a maximum pressure of 2.5 bars.

The new Hydrospin Compact prefilter from AstralPool has several advantages compared to other prefilters.

Installation

When installing the AstralPool Hydrospin Compact prefilter, you must install it between the pump and the filter.

First, ensure that there is a drain in the place where the HydroSpin is located, ensuring that the surface where the prefilter is installed is horizontal.

There must be enough space around the Prefilter to be able to carry out the necessary inspections and maintenance during its life.

• Installation on the wall.

1. First we will mark the three holes on the wall of the support.
2. Make the 3 Ø 8 mm holes.
3. We screw the support to the wall.
4. We place the Hydrospin Compact Prefilter on the wall support.
5. We glue the links or 3 pieces for Ø 50 pipe at both the inlet and outlet of the Hydrospin prefilter.
6. We recommend placing the valves at both the inlet and outlet of the prefilter.
7. Screw the purge valve into the bottom of the Hydrospin Prefilter, place the Teflon on the thread and then verify that it is correctly closed.
8. Connect a line from the Hydrospin Prefilter drain to the drain.
9. We recommend placing a pressure gauge at the inlet of the Hyrdospin Prefilter.
10. Start the pump.
    
    

• Floor installation.

1. We mark the three holes on the floor of the support.
2. We make the 3 Ø 8 mm holes.
3. Continue with point 3 of the previous device.
4. At the purge outlet you can connect a solenoid valve to time the filter cleaning.
