Kit for replacing four electrodes in Sugar Valley ionization systems.
These electrodes are made of a copper and silver alloy.
Ionization systems allow for considerable savings on chemicals in the pool.
Their operation is very simple: an electric current is passed through the electrodes, causing Cu (copper) and Ag (silver) ions to be released. These become positively charged in the pool water, and their positive charge allows them to bind to negative sites on the cell walls of bacteria and viruses, denaturing their proteins and consequently eliminating them.
When replacing your electrodes, it is very important to check the condition of the fastening nuts, as they may be affected by wear just like the electrodes. Replace them if necessary.
