Description
Description
The new UVscenic UV 50 low salinity + ultraviolet electrolysis equipment, for private or public pools, uses two disinfection methods to achieve perfect sterilization of the water, without adding any chemical product.
On the one hand, oxidants are generated through low salinity electrolysis (from 1.5 g of NaCl/l). On the other hand, the water is subjected to UV-C radiation that additionally helps to neutralize bacteria, viruses, other primary organisms and chloramines.
Compared to other electrolysis equipment, this one stands out for being a state-of-the-art equipment, much more innovative that provides numerous advantages.
- This equipment is a world novelty.
- Maintains all the characteristics, both physical and chemical, of your pool water.
- It has ultraviolet lamps with a lifespan of up to 9,000 hours.
- It requires a lower concentration of salt dissolved in water.
- Eliminates the consumption of chlorine and chemicals.
- Protects people's health and the environment.
- The joint action of electrolysis and Ultraviolet irradiation guarantees perfect disinfection of the water.
- Generates a totally natural chlorination-flocculation-algaecide cycle.
- It is especially suitable for small pools.
Features
- Removable display.
- Access menus with security password.
- Temperature.
- Safety: lack of flow // lack of salt // coverage detection.
- Disinfection based on hydrogen and oxygen and/or salt, supported by UV treatment.
- Automatic control of pH (+/-), redox, CL2 and conductivity.
- Setpoints, waiting time and dosage configurable with patterns or at a point.
- The operation can be both automatic and manual, as you wish.
- Optional by cable or via Wi-Fi.
- You can operate the equipment through a VistaPool remote control.
- It has an electronic box and a titanium cell with a Ø 63 mm transparent PVC support.
- Titanium cell with Ø 63 mm transparent PVC support.
- Longer irradiation vessel for more effectiveness.
Operation
Next, we are going to explain the operating principles of the UVSCENIC disinfection system.
Low salinity hydrolysis and/or electrolysis.
Water is made up of 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen (H2O).
Hydrolysis etymologically means decomposition by water. Hydrolysis a process to generate hydrogen and oxygen through electricity and water.
When passing an electric current through water, the chemical bond is broken, negative charges or oxygen ions migrate to the positive electrode (anode). Hydrogen ions, which are positively charged, are attracted to the negative electrode (cathode). The decomposition that will occur will be the following:
Electrical energy +2 H²O → 2 H² + O²
This results in an extra negative element, since in the combination the number of electrons exceeds the protons by 1. It is now a single negatively charged hydroxide, or hydroxyl ion (OH -).
In Hydrolysis there are numerous secondary chemical reactions, which also produce ionic species with oxidizing and disinfectant power such as ozone (O²), monatomic oxygen (O1) and hydrogen peroxide (H²O²).
The electronic circuit of our electronic box transforms current (220 V, 50Hz) into direct current of low voltage and high amperage. This current will be supplied to titanium electrodes activated with noble metals placed in the water recirculation in a support specially designed for this purpose.
In these non-soluble electrodes, a combination of the most powerful existing oxidants is created for the disinfection of water, thus avoiding the use of chemicals.
If in this treatment we incorporate a small amount of salt between 1 and 2 grams of salt per liter of water, either due to lack of conductivity or because we want to generate a tangible residual, we will thus achieve that the same system will also generate a chlorine residual by salt electrolysis at a low concentration. The products decompose, act and are regenerated again. The residual disinfectant generated by electrolysis will not harm the eyes, skin or health of bathers.
You won't have to worry if your pool runs out of salt as the system would continue disinfecting in Hydrolysis mode.
The chlorine generated destroys the organic matter and pathogens present in the water, transforming it back into sodium chloride (common salt).
Ultraviolet radiation.
Ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nanometers, through a process of photolysis and photo-oxidation, destroys all organic matter.
Thanks to the double length of the casing of our system, the water is exposed for longer to a much higher dose of UV-C radiation.
The casing is made of ABS material, thus preventing dirt from adhering and resisting salt concentrations of up to 10 g NaCl/l.
They destroy chloramines and eliminate legionella without altering or modifying the physical-chemical characteristics of the water.
The low pressure UV-C lamps from the prestigious Philips brand last up to 9,000 hours.
