Description
The new low salinity Electrolysis + Hydrolysis + Ionization equipment Aquascenic HD3 It uses three disinfection methods to obtain perfect sterilization of the water, without the need to add any chemical product.
Hydrolysis breaks the water molecule, thus generating oxygen-based disinfection agents (O³, O², OH...). Electrolysis uses the chlorides present in water (no need to add salt) to produce HClO (disinfectant). As a third disinfection system, it uses copper and silver ionization, producing an algaecide, bactericidal and flocculating effect to produce a residual disinfectant.
With the new Aquascenic HD3 low salinity Hydrolysis + Ionization + Electrolysis equipment you will have a comprehensive solution to treat water effectively.

Operation
We are going to explain the operating principles of the "AQUASCENIC" low salinity Electrolysis + Hydrolysis + Ionization equipment.
Low salinity hydrolysis and/or electrolysis.
Water is made up of 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen (H2O).
Hydrolysis etymologically means decomposition by water. Hydrolysis a process to generate hydrogen and oxygen through electricity and water.
When passing an electric current through water, the chemical bond is broken, negative charges or oxygen ions migrate to the positive electrode (anode). Hydrogen ions, which are positively charged, are attracted to the negative electrode (cathode). The decomposition that will occur will be the following:
Electrical energy +2 H²O → 2 H² + O²
This results in an extra negative element, since in the combination the number of electrons exceeds the protons by 1. It is now a single negatively charged hydroxide, or hydroxyl ion (OH -).
In Hydrolysis there are numerous secondary chemical reactions, which also produce ionic species with oxidizing and disinfectant power such as ozone (O²), monatomic oxygen (O1) and hydrogen peroxide (H²O²).
The electronic circuit of our electronic box transforms current (220 V, 50Hz) into direct current of low voltage and high amperage. This current will be supplied to titanium electrodes activated with noble metals placed in the water recirculation in a support specially designed for this purpose.
In these non-soluble electrodes, a combination of the most powerful existing oxidants is created for the disinfection of water, thus avoiding the use of chemicals.
If in this treatment we incorporate a small amount of salt between 1 and 2 grams of salt per liter of water, either due to lack of conductivity or because we want to generate a tangible residual, we will thus achieve that the same system will also generate a chlorine residual by salt electrolysis at a low concentration. The products decompose, act and are regenerated again. The residual disinfectant generated by electrolysis will not harm the eyes, skin or health of bathers.
You won't have to worry if your pool runs out of salt as the system would continue disinfecting in Hydrolysis mode.
The chlorine generated destroys the organic matter and pathogens present in the water, transforming it back into sodium chloride (common salt).
Ionization of copper (Cu) and silver (Ag).
The joint use of copper and silver, both with high disinfection capacities, greatly increases the effectiveness of each of our systems. If, in addition to that, in the case of cold water, it is supported by the presence of a third party that can be combined (chlorine), the disinfectant progression is geometric.
The addition of metals to water as disinfectants has been used for many years since Greek culture through the Middle Ages, even in America, during the colonization of the ancient west, a silver dollar was also placed in barrels of water. Currently, silver ions are added to common drinks such as beers, liquors and wines.
